Saiyma Haroon's Review
Visited Dr. Ghulam Abbas at Doctor’s hospital johar town. The first consultation was good and really gave me hope for my health. The first time my brother in law was with us, he has contacts/references in the hospital which might be a reason I got good and respectful consultation the first time. The second consultation with this doctor was motrifying. My bother in law was not with us this time. Dr. Ghulam Abbas in the second meeting was extreemely arrogant and disrespectful (need to say he was neither loud or shouted but still verbally agressive and insulting). He clearly doesn’t know how to talk to women. I could have insulted him back but didn’t want to stoop to his level. Writing this review as I don’t want anyone else to experience the same. He insulted me just because I asked a few questions about the diagnosis he gave me. He interrupted me thrice and did not let me complete my sentence. He assumed I was about to challenge his expertise, even though I told him that was not what I was going to say, nor was that my intention. If that was not enough he insulted me again while I was leaving telling me that I didn’t want to get better, and was only there to ask questions. He said that because I bended down in order to pick up my purse (he had instructed me previously to be careful with bending). I was so stressed out because of his bad attitude that the last thing on my mind was how I was bending myself at that time), but he kept repeating that I had no intention of getting better even though he knew very well that I had travelled from abroad do get a second opinion from a specialist in Pakistan (as I have heard that Pakistani doctors are some of the best). All in all I felt really disrespected and treated like 5 year old child getting scolded infront of his assistent and my husband. My husband was also there and was equally shocked. Have never experienced this kind of attitude from a professional. This doctor might be experienced but highly unprofessional and does NOT know how to deal with vulnerable patients. He is a doctor but I’m also highly reknown in my profession. Every human being deserves respect, not just him. Any person with self respect should avoid this doctor. A patient might be already traumatised by illness (only good doctors realise that). The last thing she/ he needs is to get disrespected and scorned by someone who is supposed to help them. A doctor’s words can make or break a patient as the psycological aspect is equally important. There are many other specialists in Lahore who treat patients with respect and who don’t think they are God. I will never go back to this one again! N.B. He prescribed me heavy monthly vitamin D injections without testing my vitamin D level or asking me if I had vitamin D deficiency.

I am thankful to Allah Almighty who blessed us Dr Ghulam Abbas, He is very kind and noble with his profession. He is like an angel. I had an experience with him when my grandmother's arm got fractured. He remained very polite and loyal with us. Now she is good due to Dr Ghulam Abbas's care and cure. I am highly appreciated his efforts and recommend Dr Ghulam Abbas from the cores of heart for orthopedic cases.

I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Dr. Ghulam Abbas and I feel compelled to share it as a warning to others. I strongly advise against visiting this doctor for any medical concerns. My experience with Dr. Ghulam abbas was nothing short of a medical nightmare. When me and my husband turned to this doctor for advice during a challenging health situation, the response was both dire and inaccurate. Dr. Ghulam Abbad immediately declared that surgery was the only option and went as far as to suggest that my husband’s condition was akin to a death sentence, despite the situation not being as severe as portrayed. To add to the distress, We sought a second opinion from another doctor who provided a drastically different assessment. They prescribed a non-surgical treatment plan that ultimately led to my husband’s recovery without the need for invasive surgery. This stark contrast in opinions left me bewildered and outraged by the initial advice I had received from Dr. Ghulam Abbas. The lack of proper evaluation and the inclination to jump directly to surgery, without due consideration for alternative approaches, is both concerning and unethical. Dr. Ghulam Abbas displayed a grave disregard for my husband’s well-being and left us feeling vulnerable and misguided during a critical time of our life. This doctor's misguided advice not only cost us peace of mind but also the unnecessary stress and anxiety of contemplating an invasive surgery that, as it turns out, my husband did not need. In the interest of your health and well-being, I strongly urge you to look for alternative medical professionals who can provide the care and attention you deserve. Dr. Ghulam Abbas is, without a doubt, a doctor to avoid at all costs.
