National Hospital, Lahore (DHA) ⭐ Overall: 3.5/5 Doctor (Dr. Ali Raza Hashmi – Orthopedic): ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding care and professionalism. Highly skilled, clear in communication, and attentive to patient needs. Easily the highlight of the hospital experience. Blood Bank Services: ⭐⭐⭐/5 Serviceable but could use better organization and quicker response times during emergencies. Post-Operative Care: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Nursing and follow-up protocols are solid. Room for improvement in coordination during shift changes. Café Ambience & Food: Ambience: ⭐⭐/5 – Basic seating, limited comfort. Food: ⭐⭐⭐/5 – Average quality; variety is acceptable but nothing special. Billing: 💸 Quite expensive. Billing transparency and responsiveness could be improved. Recommend discussing charges in detail beforehand. Room Conditions: 💺 Rooms are pricey considering the quality. Maintenance is needed—furnishings look a bit dated and not up to the cost being charged. Elevators: ⬇️ Only 1 out of 2 lifts working at several locations, causing delays and inconvenience—especially challenging for post-op patients and elderly visitors. Summary: Great doctors, especially Dr. Ali Raza Hashmi. However, hospital facilities (like rooms and lifts) and support services (like billing and food) don’t match the premium rates. A bit of renovation and service enhancement could greatly improve the overall patient experience.

786 Urologist & surgeon Dr Zaki and his team are a disaster for anyone seeking prostrate or kidney surgeries. My father underwent surgeries with them and has been facing life threatening post surgery complications one after and another because of their total lack of post surgery care (no SOPs for duty doctors while patient is in recovery, bladder wash done on ward floor rather than surgical room, nonavailability of surgeon and his team in case of post surgery emergencies, no counseling to patient or caretakers of managing post surgery complications, wrong medicines prescriptions...and worst still is the young trainee Dr Mosa Ayub, negligent and incompetent). My father is in third week of hospitalization at another hospital, fighting off life-threatening and dangerous infections of urinary tract and chest after what they did to him. May Allah SWT hold them accountable for the severe harm they have done to my father Insha'Allah and Ameen!

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to National Hospital Lahore for the excellent care and attention they provided to my nephew, who was admitted there with congenital pneumonia. The doctors and nursing staff in NiCU were exceptionally professional, compassionate, and attentive throughout his treatment. From timely medical intervention to constant monitoring and emotional support, every aspect of his care reflected the hospital’s high standards. Their dedication and expertise made a difficult time much easier for our family, and we are truly thankful for the remarkable recovery our little one has made under their care.

Our son had to undergo a surgery and his doctor Prof Mehmood Shaukat practiced at this hospital so we had the chance to experience its indoor and outdoor facilities. It is neither outstanding nor below average but a middle of the road medical facility without which the middle classes wouldn’t be able to do. The usual impression is that it is an elite hospital but the reality is a bit different. Like all of our things it lacks the cleanliness and the hygiene which is an absolute part of any such facility in the western world. However the paramedic staff was excellent. We availed their paediatric special care facility and the staff nurse Ms Khalida was one superb manager. She ran her unit better than many I have seen at Cleaveland or Mayo Clinic. The best thing was our child got better and the expertise of the surgeon was without doubt the best one could get in any part of the world.
